Things have been busy at Gail Werner Photography, but it’s all been behind-the-scenes busy.
I have a lot to look forward to in 2009 — working with new clients, creating albums (I can’t wait to show you guys my sample!), and I’ve signed up for a workshop in May in Phoenix with the fabulous wedding photographer, Melissa Jill. I’m hopeful this workshop will give me a lot of inspiration for my business and where I want to take it — and I can’t wait to meet and network with other photographers there.
So while I know things have been quiet around here on the blog, I promise there’ll be plenty in store by way of updates soon.
For now, I’ve been enjoying this pocket of down time (and prepping for a meeting with my accountant coming up - d’oh!). And because I know Nick and I’s schedules will get crazy on the weekends all too soon, I relish nights with him like the one we shared last night. We spent our Valentine’s Day having a delicious meal at a downtown restaurant (chocolate gelato for dessert? YES PLEASE), followed by an evening of music by one of my favorite artists, Griffin House. Nick was so sweet to share his V-Day with a wife who managed to get all googly-eyed over a musician — sticking in his seat by my side even as I sung aloud to all of Griffin’s songs.
The fact we could joke on the car ride home about my obsession with this guy (”You looove him,” he teased me; “Shuutt uppp” was my response) that makes me love — and appreciate — my husband even more.
And because a post just isn’t a post without a photo, here’s Griffin sharing his talent with the Muncie crowd at The Living Room last night.
